IMPORTANT (Please read to avoid confusion):
Some items below may be tagged with a bold, red, all-caps "out of print/unavailable" notice. This does NOT mean that all other items not so tagged are, in fact, in stock -- or for that matter, in print and available, though there's a good chance they are. Some folks get confused on this point, and we can see why, so please read this for further clarification and other important before-you-order information. Unlike some mailorder websites, we don't have an electronic inventory system linked to our site, so you can't be sure of what we actually have or don't have in stock at any given moment without asking us -- please email our mailorder department for availability status -- or better yet, just go ahead and place your order using our shopping cart function and we'll get back to you with the status of each item. If you have general non-mailorder questions, email the store.

album cover DJ SCUD / RICH KID (PANACEA) Murder Sound (Ambush) cd 14.98
The incredible DJ Scud (aka Toby Reynolds, Bloodclaat Gangsta Youth, head honcho of Ambush Records) steps into the ring to take on the Rich Kid (aka Kate Mosh, M2, Bad Street Boy, best known as German dancefloor militiamensch PANACEA). Murder Sound sees these two renegade digipunks pump out the wonderfully addictive injection of hardcore dancehall ragga into blistering DHR style noise breaks. Ten tracks total, this split cd is an expansion of their 12" released earlier this year. Also includes both sides of Scud's long gone collaborative 7" with Shizuo (originally released in 1999 as part of Wabana's Guncourt series) as well as Panacea's full on rave remix of Bloodclaat Gangsta Youth's "Kill Or Be Killed". Brutal, driving and crucial.

album cover REMARC Sound Murderer (Planet-Mu) cd 16.98
THIS IS CURRENTLY OUT OF PRINT OR OTHERWISE UNAVAILABLE TO US AT THE MOMENT, SO PLEASE DO NOT ORDER IT. SORRY.
Everyone who bought that Soundmurderer drum and bass comp cd on Violent Turd from a while back should just buy this too. Wicked old school drum and bass. Simple and dumb, with lots of Amen breaks and sirens and clipped samples, bass bin rattling lows, tweeter twitching synth stabs, time stretched ragga toasting and just all the big dumb jungle you can handle. This totally brings me back to when the whole AQ crew would go to the only local bar in SF that played jungle, and we would just sit in front of the speakers and LOVE IT. There's a bunch of classics on here (a few that were on the Soundmurderer comp), and there's some brutal 'soul diva' stuff too, but basically this is just classic fucking jungle / drum and bass, that we never get tired of hearing!

album cover V/A Rewind Records: Soundmurderer + SK-1 (Rewind) cd 16.98
THIS IS CURRENTLY OUT OF PRINT OR OTHERWISE UNAVAILABLE TO US AT THE MOMENT, SO PLEASE DO NOT ORDER IT. SORRY.
I'm sure you remember how we raved (no pun intended) like crazy about the Soundmurderer record a few lists ago, a wicked collection of the finest old school jungle. Well, here we go again. This time, Soundmurderer (aka Todd Osborn) is joined by SK-1, who may be more familiar to some of you as Dabrye, on this collection of 12"s released by Michigans premiere Jungle label, Rewind Record. Huge bombastic, old school ruffneck ragga, with spastic beats, rumbling basslines, crushing synths and wicked toasting. Folks who miss the old days of jungle will be floored, and all you folks who have been getting into dancehall (and have been digging stuff like the Bug) should check this out.
