Influenza: Gail Butensky and Erik Auerbach
September 1 - November 30, 1996

Beginning in September with the opening at its new location at 1055 Valencia Street(near 22nd), Aquarius Records has begun to devote a portion of its wall space to exhibiting Music Photography by lesser known or under published photographers. The first show which ran from September 1, 1996-November 30, 1996 featured local photographers Gail Butensky and Erik Auerbach (who curates the space) with a selection of photos spanning the early eighties entitled INFLUENZA. The idea for the first show was to represent the early days of independent music in America and internationally with images of musicians (Nick Cave, Pere Ubu, The Replacements) who helped shape the independent and mainstream music scenes of today.
